Premier Safety Management Ltd (PSM) offers competent health, safety and training advice to companies as an alternative or support to in-house resources. The aims of PSM are to provide a cost effective service to companies in construction, manufacturing, engineering, retail, wholesale, security, and similar industries. Once engaged as 'Competent Safety Advisors', we will become part of your team and work closely with employees at all levels by offering a hands on, practical approach.

Our Health and Safety Advisors are holders of NEBOSH (National Examination Board of Occupational Safety and Health) and are members or associate members of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health). Our trainers hold CPCS (Construction Plant Certification Scheme) Instructor qualifications and are also accredited by City & Guilds to carry out assessments for plant operators to NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) level.

Whether your company is new or well established, you may benefit from help keeping up to date with all the health and safety legislation that continues to come onto the statute books. Clients and Principal Contractors are making more demands on contractors and suppliers to prove their competence, particularly under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 1994.

Working with PSM can offer:

  • Help complying with your legal duties under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, whereby you are required to employ competent safety advice
  • Someone at the end of a telephone line to give independent advice
  • Professional assistance in the development and implementation of a specific health and safety management system
  • Assistance in dealing with Principal Contractor / Client questionnaires and tender documents
  • Representation in meetings with Clients, Principal Contractors and the Statutory Undertakers (HSE, Local Authorities, etc.)
  • The ability to call upon someone to visit sites at short notice in case of accidents / incidents with the subsequent development of an in-depth report
